Shijiazhuang, referred to as "Mr Stone's village", is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital and type I large city in Hebei Province. It is one of the important central cities in China's Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region approved by The State Council. By the end of 2022, the city has jurisdiction over 8 districts, 11 counties and 3 county-level cities with a total area of 14,530 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 11,23,500 and an urban population of 8,017,900, with an urbanization rate of 71.44%.
Shijiazhuang is located in the south-central part of Hebei Province and the economic zone around Bohai Bay, southwest of Beijing [4], between 37°27 '~ 38°47' north latitude and 113°30 '~ 115°20' east longitude, spanning two major landforms, North China Plain and Taihang Mountain. It is the headquarters of the army organ of the Central theater command, and the city approved by The State Council to implement the coastal opening policy and financial opening to the outside world. It is an important national commodity distribution center, an important commercial port in the north, one of the national trade and exhibition center cities, the permanent venue of the China International Digital Economy Expo, and a part of the China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Shijiazhuang was founded in the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925), when the name "Shimen City", the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947) renamed Shijiazhuang City. In 1968, Hebei Province moved to Shijiazhuang City. It is the main hub city of railway transportation in China, known as the "North-South thoroughfare, Yanjin throat" with six railway trunk lines, including Beijing-Guangzhou, Shide, Shitai, Shitai passenger line, Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed Railway and Shiji high-speed railway. Shijiazhuang is the first batch of national science and technology innovation demonstration cities, national semiconductor lighting, satellite navigation, animation industry, biomedical industry base, national civilized city, national forest city, China's excellent tourism city, the territory of Xibaipo is a national 5A scenic spot, is the leading center of the Chinese revolution during the War of liberation
